Movements in May
Indi turned 13, and it was wonderful. Thirteen years ago, my daughter was born. At the precise moment of the anniversary of her birth, it also happened to be the precise moment of the New Moon. This magical woman stood at the center of a sacred circle, as she left childhood behind. Maiden, Mother, and Crone at Stonehenge Aotearoa I am so honored to have this wonderful person in my life, and I am grateful she has such powerful and [...]
6 Highlights from April
1. Easter egg hunts Since we are in the Southern Hemisphere, the Spring celebration of Ostara falls in the Fall. It's odd, having the traditional spring easter-egg-hunt while the weather is turning colder, but it was till fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDU_Qt6dN5E We plan on celebrating half-holidays, so we will celebrate Easter 2 2019 in the springtime. Time changes
It is April in New Zealand, and we 'fall back' with our clocks this season. This used to be a cause for celebration, getting an extra hour of sleep, but now I have to mentally readjust my distance from the Northern Hemisphere for the 3rd time (so far) this year. My difference from Pacific Time changes **5 times every year.** See, the specific weekend that Americans Springs Forward is different than the weekend when New Zealand Falls Back, so we [...]

I guess it really gets my ass in gear. But I've had to work from bed many days in February, because I'm weak, and that's strange for me. For most of my adult life, I’ve been active and fit. I’m a hard worker, and [...]
2019 starts swiftly
January is always a burly month; I've got a birthday or two to celebrate, plus my youngest son's birthday; there's new resolutions and annual reviews, habits quickly getting derailed, and clients off on holiday. This year, we also had family move to New Zealand with us! On my very birthday, they landed at the Wellington airport to join us in our new home. The Huntress Clan is growing in New Zealand Taos had a birthday - he's 7. Accomplishments This [...]
The Queen of Wands
This year, for my birthday I have drawn a card of happiness, satisfaction, and fertility. The Queen of Wands is a card that could signify a plan to accomplish a large amount of work in a small period of time, a balance of the shadow and the light parts of ourselves, or a helpful, supportive person in the querent's life. Every year, when I draw a tarot card on my birthday (see previous years here) I am always surprised by [...]
