First Name

Hi, I’m Caelan. I’m an American dual citizen in New Zealand.

I help professionals become proficient AI operators so they can think faster, create smarter, and lead with confidence into the future of work.

I am a dynamic speaker, trainer, and business coach, who combines the skills of a theatrical performer and technical geek to make compelling educational experiences. I was classically educated at St John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so I see the fast-moving world of technology through the perspective of the humanities.

A decade as a digital nomad taught me how to build businesses that move as freely as their founders. My book Marketing Yourself was published in August of 2022 (five months before ChatGPT!) and my digital marketing agency Stellar Platforms helped experts and entrepreneurs to grow their impact, income, and influence through smarter systems and standout storytelling.

As a former circus acrobat and street performer, I bring showmanship and play to the serious business of skill-building—turning every keynote, workshop, and training session into an engaging experience.

My AI training workshops are fast-paced and hands-on—packed with prompts, games, and experiments that leave participants feeling empowered to use Ai in their daily tasks.

The Highland Roots

This weekend, I took my children to The Highland Games, so I could expose them to the community of Scots from whence they came. Indilea loves the idea of cousins. She has always wanted cousins. This weekend, I gave her more cousins than she [...]

New Resume

As I'm sure you know, the economy stinks. Looking for a job in Portland (a digitally-savvy city) for a job in digital media (where there are lots of unemployed digital media enthusiasts) is like walking into a refugee camp and asking for a Denver [...]

Shedding Stuff and Juggling Drunk

I lost my backpack this weekend. And it didn’t even phase me. I’m a Capricorn. I am notoriously addicted to stuff. While not exactly a hoarder, I could easily be called a collector…and maybe even an over-packer. I like to be well stocked and [...]

Relaxing from my Center

It’s only because I am consciously rocking the gut this summer that I noticed:  I have been continually holding tension in my abdomen. Tight in my center. That’s me. This unfortunate side effect of staying in shape has created energetic blocks between myself [...]
