“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”
— Alvin Toffler
We are living through a revolution of intelligence, from human to artificial.
The illiterate of the 21st century will be those humans stuck in the 20th century’s methods of working.
Those of us preparing for the future of work are unlearning, and relearning, how we work, through our relationship with AI.
Professionals who take the time to educate themselves on AI now will soon outpace those who don’t. Not because they have more intelligence, but because they have more adaptability.
Yesterday I gave a presentation to the Christchurch AI Meetup, and shared some of the uniquely human characteristics that will help us thrive, in an AI-powered future:
- creative taste
- adaptability
- moral judgement
- ethical reasoning
The more we can bring these human qualities into our work, and use them in our partnership with GenAI, the more likely we will thrive in the next evolution of our world.
That’s why I created the AI-Powered Professionals Program. This 4-week webinar series will help you to improve you skills as an operator of GenAI, through interactive exercises, step-by-step tutorials, and copy/paste prompting techniques.
💡 What Changes in Just 4 Weeks?
Last month, I ran the first cohort of the AI-Powered Professionals Program. The very first thing we did was take a survey.
The very last thing we did?
We took it again.
And the results were 🔥:
- 💪 45% increase in confidence using AI tools for daily tasks
- ✍️ 61% improvement in writing effective AI prompts
- ⏱️ 20% boost in productivity
- 🧠 42% lift in strategic decision-making
- 🎨 54% increase in using AI for creative work
These are the kinds of improvements that help you finish projects faster, think more clearly, and amplify your effectiveness.
If you’d like to level up your AI skills, it would be great to see you in the program next week! We meet 4 consecutive weeks on Zoom. Replays, slides, and a Google Doc workbook are available if you can’t make it to the live sessions.
🛠️ AI for Storytelling
This is one of the best short story ideas I’ve ever had. Here’s how I am using AI to help me develop it into something I can publish.
