First Name

Hi, I’m Caelan. I’m an American dual citizen in New Zealand.

I help professionals become proficient AI operators so they can think faster, create smarter, and lead with confidence into the future of work.

I am a dynamic speaker, trainer, and business coach, who combines the skills of a theatrical performer and technical geek to make compelling educational experiences. I was classically educated at St John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so I see the fast-moving world of technology through the perspective of the humanities.

A decade as a digital nomad taught me how to build businesses that move as freely as their founders. My book Marketing Yourself was published in August of 2022 (five months before ChatGPT!) and my digital marketing agency Stellar Platforms helped experts and entrepreneurs to grow their impact, income, and influence through smarter systems and standout storytelling.

As a former circus acrobat and street performer, I bring showmanship and play to the serious business of skill-building—turning every keynote, workshop, and training session into an engaging experience.

My AI training workshops are fast-paced and hands-on—packed with prompts, games, and experiments that leave participants feeling empowered to use Ai in their daily tasks.

Choose Your Character in the Game of Life

The singer Beyoncé Knowles has an alter-ego she calls Sasha Fierce. When she was young in her career, and nervous about a big show, she would internally decide it was not Beyoncé going onstage, it was Sasha Fierce. This character was brave, and strong, and [...]

Breakthrough Results with a Business Coach

One of my coaching clients surpassed her revenue goal last month. She started August believing that her $30k goal was impossible, and wanted to avoid thinking about it. But every week, we reviewed that goal, and renewed her commitment to (attempting to) achieve it. [...]

Internet advice goes stale. Don’t trust it.

Internet advice goes stale, but that doesn't mean it goes away. You could be following advice that worked great 5 years ago, but it's no longer working. This is something I find frequently in my work as a marketer. Because I'm in the trenches, [...]

What makes teamwork really work? #TeamHabits

This week, my friend Charlie Gilkey is launching a new book, Team Habits: How Small Actions Lead to Extraordinary Results. I was a big fan of his first book, Start Finishing: How to Go from Idea to Done. (See my video review here.) Charlie has once again [...]

Life is a single-player game. How well do you play?

In the game of life, how well you play determines your success. Every day is another round, every year is another level, and at the end of the game, it doesn’t matter if you won the high score - all that matters is that [...]
